It all started with Lucy...

Lucy was my fist Berner. She came to live with me in 1991 at 8 weeks of age. My life hasn't been the same since!

Lucy gave me insight into the beauty and gracious temperament Bernese Mountain Dogs possess.

Several people with long experience in the Bernese breed community who met Lucy told told me she was a good, sound dog that had the potential to contribute in a positive way to the breed's future. So, I began showing her in AKC Conformation in 1992. The AKC judges liked my Lucy. Getting her AKC Conformation title put me in touch with others who share my love of Berners.

Lucy produced a few very special puppies out of carefully chosen sires.

Lucy's pups and the generations that followed bless the lives of many caring families.

Many of the people I have met through dog shows and those I have placed puppies with have become trusted friends. Diane Bussey Manning and I have worked together managing several quality dogs used in the Jaberwock breeding program.
